Songs for Fall 2014

Here are some new Autumn songs we’ve been singing this Fall:

Autumn Leaves are Falling Down (to tune of London Bridge is Falling Down)

Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down.

Autumn leaves are falling down, down down on the ground.

(Children are standing, and holding their arms up high with their fingers wiggling like the leaves falling down. Begin to Crouch down until they are as low as possible.)

Rake them up and make a pile, make a pile, make a pile.

Rake them up and make a pile, guaranteed to make you smile.

(Children stand up and pretend to rake the leaves. They stop raking and sing” guaranteed to make you smile” while holding their fingers to their lips in a smile.)

Jump into the pile of leaves, pile of leaves, pile of leaves

Jump into the pile of leaves, taking turns if you please.

(Children jump up and down. They stop jumping and sing “taking turns if you please” nice and strong.)

Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down

Autumn leaves are falling down, down down on the ground.

(Children are standing, and holding their arms up high with their fingers wiggling like the leaves falling down. Begin to Crouch down until they are as low as possible.)

Five Little Leaves (To tune of 5 Little Ducks Went Out to Play)

Five little leaves so bright today (Hold up five fingers.)

Were dancing about on a tree this way. (Dance in place.)

The wind came blowing through the town, (Sway with the wind.)

And one little leaf came tumbling down. (Gently tumble to the ground.)

Falling, Falling, Falling Leaves

(Tune: Twinkle Little Star)

Falling, Falling, Falling Leaves (flutter fingers)

Mother Nature, did you sneeze? (sneeze aaachooo)

Red ones, yellow ones, orange and brown,

Big ones, little ones on the ground.

Falling, Falling, Falling Leaves, (flutter fingers)

Mother Nature did you sneeze? (sneeze aaachooo)
