Just a reminder that we have lots of contests this summer

  • Photography contest: recreate a scene from a book. Send me the picture and tell me the book and pg #
  • Review contest, review any book you read this summer
  • Rap contest, write and perform some verbal poetry
  • Weekly contests in the library, on the cart there is a poster with a question
  • Guessing contest, guess how many balls are in the jar in the library
  • Design a bookmark contest- forms available in the branch

Plus there’s a chance to win prizes at the Pirate Party and everyone can earn a medal by reading lots and filling out their reading record!!!

Summer Reading Club can be as laid back or as busy as you want it to be. There are at least 2 things to attend every week July 5-August 30th but none are obligatory.

If you are busy with camp or summer school, or have a hard time getting a ride to the library you can just fill out your reading record as you read at home. If you want fun activities and cool guest speakers to keep you busy this summer come to everything! Everything’s free, so there’s no prices to hold you back.

You can join at any time during the summer, and if you fill out your record completely you will get a medal at the ceremony August 30th or in the weeks to follow.

The only requiremenst for the contests are:

-You are between the ages 5-12 at some point this summer

-You have a library card (they are free)

-You registered for SRC (filled out the small yellow slip you got with your reading record)
